The town of Wrexham has much to offer the visitor in terms of attractions and events. The historic Horse and Jockey pub is well worth a visit - this traditional thatched inn stands on Regent Street in the town centre, offering a variety of real ales and a friendly atmosphere.

Just outside the town lies Erddig Hall, a stunning country house owned and maintained by the National Trust surrounded by acres of glorious parkland. Within the bounds of the town are several open green spaces, the most notable of which is the recently refurbished Belle Vue Park, which boasts beautiful tree-lined avenues, an amphitheatre and great views of the Parish Church.

There is a vibrant music scene in the town - a large number of venues offer live music in all its forms, the most impressive of these being the enormous Central Station club which has hosted most of the big names in modern music since it opened in the year 2000. Aside from established acts, many up-and-coming indie and alternative bands from the area are being touted as ones to watch.

Wrexham has strong ties to the world of science, it plays host to the science museum and discovery centre Techniquest which exhibits a variety of examples of cutting-edge design, computing and engineering and also hosts the annual Wrexham Science Festival which draws in thousands of visitors every year, making it one of the largest events of its kind in the country.
